Today, Grade 3/4 you will be writing up your cranberry cookie making paragraph.

You are going to try a new way of typing your story. By speaking into the computer it will type for you.

It is known as Dictation.


1. First, download and open this document.
Open it and save it to the Documents folder.




2. Second, click on text that says
StartHere.png





3. Now you are ready to dictate or type your paragraph.

Click twice on the fn key.

A microphone will appear on the side of your document.

Click Done when you are finished talking.

Check for periods. Does it make sense? Are the names spelled correctly? Is the punctuation correct?




4. Finally, change the picture.

Open PhotoBooth.
Take a picture of yourself.
Drag and drop your picture into your paragraph.
Adjust the size of the picture.

Save in Documents on the computer you are using.


Print two copies of your finished paragraph. Give one to your teacher and take one home.




When you are finished the assignment above you make go to Mr. Hartwick's Webisphere.
